## Description

Spotting Capture is the official Firefox extension for <a href="https://prod.outgoing.prod.webservices.mozgcp.net/v1/cf69e4b008c5eb732e80b3bc88e871f8b6ef8042bf60891367fcdbecbf4e4c92/https%3A//github.com/kkjayakumar/spotting" rel="nofollow">Spotting</a>, an open-source bug reporting platform for QA and engineering teams.

What it does
<ul><li>Capture <strong>screenshots</strong> and <strong>tab recordings</strong> while testing any website</li><li>Record <strong>console logs</strong> and <strong>network requests</strong> during a capture session</li><li>Submit bug reports with a title to <strong>your Spotting API</strong> (self-hosted or your deployment)</li><li>Choose a <strong>project</strong> (report group) before sending</li><li>Works on normal <code>http://</code> and <code>https://</code> pages</li></ul>
Setup
<ol><li>Install the extension</li><li>Open the popup on a website tab</li><li>Set your <strong>API URL</strong>, <strong>dashboard URL</strong>, and <strong>public capture key</strong> (<code>spk_…</code> from Spotting Settings → Public Keys)</li><li>Capture, add a title, and send the report</li></ol>
Data &amp; privacy

The extension does <strong>not</strong> send data to Mozilla or Spotting by default. Reports are sent only when <strong>you</strong> click Send, to the <strong>API URL you configure</strong> (typically your own Spotting instance). Captured console/network activity and media are included in reports you submit.
