## Description

Spotify Desktop-ify is a Chrome extension designed to enhance your Spotify experience by automatically opening Spotify URIs and web player links in the desktop app instead of the browser. This ensures uninterrupted music playback without navigation away from your current page.

Key features include support for all Spotify content types such as songs, playlists, concerts, podcasts, and user profiles. It avoids autoplay interruptions and auto-closes new tabs opened by the redirection. Additionally, Spotify Desktop-ify strips tracking IDs from links to improve privacy. The extension only redirects direct content link-clicks, allowing you to still browse open.spotify.com freely.

Spotify Desktop-ify is open-source and built on a Firefox fork of a Chrome project to bring smooth, integrated Spotify control right in your desktop environment.
