Send to MPlayer enables you to seamlessly send media stream links from your current browser tab directly to the powerful MPlayer media player instead of using the default browser player. It detects streamable audio and video sources on webpages and allows you to watch or listen to them using MPlayer, which offers superior playback capabilities.

This extension is optimized for performance — its background page runs in non-persistent mode, ensuring minimal resource usage when inactive. Unlike other similar extensions, its media detection algorithm is lightweight and efficient. You can customize badge display and colors, and copy detected media links via context menu. Note that to interact with the external MPlayer application, a small native client must be installed (detailed in FAQs).
