PubliElectoral is a plugin (or extension) developed by Asociación por los Derechos Civiles (ADC) and Cooperativa Tecnológica Cambá from Argentina. It is downloaded and installed in your browser. When the user navigates through Facebook, it detects the political ads that are displayed and stores them in a database, so that the research team can analyze them. The extension relieves advertisements of candidates and political parties during election campaigns. It does this through real accounts of people like you, who cooperate with us by downloading the extension. Our goal is to gather this information and analyze it to understand if the system of electoral ads is working transparently from political parties and social networks. As soon as you finish installing the plugin, remember to open it and select your location. Also remember to keep the plugin updated. PubliElectoral is a browser extension that allows the collection of information related to electoral advertising in social networks.
