Before the game starts, the player chooses the team he wants to play for, and the opponent is determined randomly, creating a new confrontation each time. After the start, a series of four kicks begins, in which you need to carefully choose the direction of the ball's flight and try to outwit the goalkeeper. Previous kick results are marked on the field, which makes each new attempt part of an intense football series. In Penalty Shootout, it is important not only to hit the goal, but also to correctly predict the moment for kick.

After choosing a direction, the system determines where the goalkeeper will jump. If the trajectory of the ball and the goalkeeper's movement do not coincide, the player scores a goal and receives a reward for an accurate kick. If the goalkeeper guesses the direction, a save is made and the attempt is lost. It is this uncertainty that creates the main tension in Penalty Shootout, because even a well-thought-out shot does not guarantee success. The player has to constantly change tactics and try not to become predictable for the goalkeeper, who can interrupt the series of goals scored at any moment.

A special dynamic is added to the game by the system of multipliers for a series of successful goals. Each goal scored in a row increases the reward coefficient, gradually increasing it to ×2, ×4, ×8 and higher. Because of this, each subsequent shot feels much more important than the previous one. In Penalty Shootout, after several successful goals, the tension increases sharply, because one mistake can instantly stop a profitable series. The player is constantly balancing between careful decisions and risk for the sake of a greater result, trying to hold the combo of shots as long as possible.

After the series ends, the game allows you to choose a team again and start a new football confrontation with another opponent. With random saves and varying outcomes, each new series plays out differently and creates new tension. Penalty Shootout combines the simple mechanics of penalty shootouts with the atmosphere of short but highly emotional football matches, where everything is decided by a few precise kicks.
