The writing is detailed and the story itself is intriguing.

This interactive novel is so much fun! I blasted through it in just a couple days and cannot wait to do so again.

Horrible. Not just bad writing. MANY parts of sentences, and in some cases whole paragraphs, are just completely missing. And there is at least one choice that is coded wrong, so you get an option other than what you picked. If all that were fixed, it would still be unsatisfying and rather short. I'm really surprised Choice of Games allowed this up on their site. If my pre-teen child wrote something like this for school I'd expect them to get a very poor grade.
