Reviewers praise WBUR for informative, educational, and diverse programming, and many say it is a great station. The most common complaint is that Android playback pauses, drops, or stops every few minutes, even on Wi-Fi or 5G, and users say this does not happen on iOS. Frequent crashes are also widely reported, along with blank screens after updates and playback cutting out when the app is in the background. Some users also say recent updates limited features such as rewinding to previous programs. Several reviewers say the app needs fixes but still value the content.
