## Description

Orbot is a free, open-source VPN and proxy for Android that uses the Tor network to encrypt and anonymize app traffic. Instead of connecting directly, Orbot bounces your encrypted data through a global network of relays so observers can only tell that you’re using Tor — not which apps you use or which sites you visit. The VPN feature can route any app over Tor to provide stronger privacy and firewall circumvention for everyday use.

Built by the Guardian Project, Orbot is actively developed and transparent — its source code is available on GitHub.
