What is Journey 2050?

Journey 2050 is a unique, interactive Chrome extension that focuses on the sustainable methods of feeding an estimated world population of 10 billion by the year 2050. Developed with an educational perspective, it offers a virtual farming experience across Kenya, India, and Canada, guided by real farmers and monitored by different social, economic, and environmental factors. It aims to challenge its users to grow crops sustainably while impacting local and global sustainability.

I use this resource in my classroom each marking period, and really do love it. But I've noticed that as of this year I'm having a lot of issues with students chromebooks being able to access the game. Most computers work if added as an extension but then others refuse to add the game or present an error due to javascript. We used to be able to play this game just by clicking the browser option but now it is no longer supported. Very frustrating when in the middle of a lesson.

This is a fantastic resource for my middle school Ag Explore classes! They love the simulation games and learn a lot from going through the units. I highly recommend this for all ages, but it is perfect for middle school ages 11-14!
