## Description

Crosswire puts the world's front pages side by side, exactly as their editors published them.

No feed. No algorithm. No summaries. Two, three or four live newspaper home pages on one screen, so you can see for yourself what a country's press is leading with today — and how differently the same day can be framed.

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
Every other news app decides what you should read. Crosswire decides nothing. It shows you the front page a newsroom built, in its own layout and its own hierarchy, next to a rival's. What one paper splashes across the top, another may not carry at all. That gap is the story — and you can only see it side by side.

LEFT, CENTER, RIGHT — IN ONE TAP
For every country with enough sources, Crosswire has curated comparisons: a left-leaning, a centrist and a right-leaning outlet, chosen from a directory of 907 newsrooms with approximate editorial leanings drawn from widely cited media-bias assessments. Open a country and the spectrum is already arranged for you. These comparisons are free, in every country, forever.

READ THE WORLD IN YOUR LANGUAGE
Translate any front page in place, into 16 languages, while it keeps its original layout. Read Le Monde in English, the Frankfurter Allgemeine in Spanish, Asahi Shimbun in French — and still see which story the editors put first.

BUILT FOR PHONES, TABLETS AND FOLDABLES
On a phone, panes stack and stay readable. On a tablet — in landscape, in split screen, in any window size — they sit side by side. Two front pages are free; Crosswire Pro adds as many as the device can hold. The layout follows the actual window, so foldables and Chromebooks behave properly instead of guessing.

KNOW WHO YOU'RE READING
Every one of the 907 outlets has a profile: what it is, who publishes it, its format, and its approximate editorial leaning, with a plain-English caution about what those labels can and cannot tell you. The whole directory works offline, and it's published as an open dataset under CC BY 4.0.

WHAT'S FREE — AND STAYS FREE
• All 907 outlets across 186 countries
• Every curated Left / Center / Right comparison
• Translation into 16 languages
• The full outlet directory, offline
• 7 comparisons every month, in any country you like
• Two front pages side by side
• Three saved favourite outlets

Crosswire Pro lifts the monthly limit and the two-page limit. Crosswire shows other publishers' journalism and always links back to the source; it never runs advertising against it.

CROSSWIRE PRO
• No ads, anywhere in the app
• Unlimited comparisons — no monthly limit, and as many front pages side by side as your device can hold
• Unlimited favourite outlets
• Named comparisons: "US politics", "Climate", "LatAm" — reopen any of them in a tap
• Custom presets: build your own Left / Center / Right line-up for any country

Pay once and it never expires, or subscribe yearly or monthly. All three unlock the same app; cancel any time. No account, no tracking.

PRIVACY
There is no account and no sign-up. Your favourites, layout and language stay on your device. Crosswire does not track what you read, does not use your location — your edition comes from your device language — and does not build a profile of you.

ABOUT THE FRONT PAGES
Pages load live from each publisher through Crosswire's proxy, which normalises them to a consistent light theme so you compare journalism rather than site chrome. Nothing is rewritten and nothing is republished: tapping a headline takes you to the publisher's own site. Whether a front page appears is partly outside Crosswire's control: publishers' own servers can block automated requests, rate-limit them, or simply be slow or down. Around 5% of the directory can't be previewed in a given week for those reasons. Crosswire checks every outlet weekly, says so up front, and offers to open those in your browser instead.

Crosswire is made by a small independent team, funded by readers, and takes no money from any outlet it lists.
