ABOUT THE FRONT PAGES
Pages load live from each publisher through Crosswire's proxy, which normalises them to a consistent light theme so you compare journalism rather than site chrome. Nothing is rewritten and nothing is republished: tapping a headline takes you to the publisher's own site. Whether a front page appears is partly outside Crosswire's control: publishers' own servers can block automated requests, rate-limit them, or simply be slow or down. Around 5% of the directory can't be previewed in a given week for those reasons. Crosswire checks every outlet weekly, says so up front, and offers to open those in your browser instead.
