Google Meet Grid View is a handy Chrome extension that adds a toggle button for a grid layout in Google Meet sessions. This grid view shows each participant with equal-sized video windows, ideal for meetings without a primary speaker, such as silent or collaborative working-from-home sessions.

The extension also offers customizable options including including your own video in the grid, highlighting the active speaker, and hiding participants without video streams to streamline your meeting view. While enabling grid view forces the loading of all participant videos which may affect performance in very large meetings, it greatly improves visibility and engagement for typical group sizes.
