## Description

**OCR + Translate** is an open source Chrome extension designed to translate images directly on any webpage. By capturing images on active tabs, it sends them to a user-hosted backend server which performs Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and translation. Users can deploy the backend using freely available or fine-tuned models, enabling completely offline operation without sending data to external servers.

This extension injects scripts into pages to detect and process images in-place, then overlays translated textboxes seamlessly on top of them.
