User reviews
Users appreciate this add-on for its synchronization across devices and minimal permission requirements. However, multiple users report critical issues such as data corruption causing permanent loss of authentication codes, unresponsive or incomplete settings interfaces, and lack of import/export features. Some mention limitations in supporting advanced authentication workflows used in organizations. Occasional inconsistent behavior between Edge and Chrome browsers is also noted. Overall, while it delivers basic 2FA code generation effectively, reliability and usability concerns are common among multiple reviewers.
Pros
- Synchronizes data across multiple Edge devices, preserving data even after system reinstall.
- Simple and unintrusive with minimal permissions required.
- Generates time-based one-time codes reliably for supported services.
Cons
- Data corruption issues leading to loss of all stored authentication codes without recovery options.
- Settings or interface sometimes fail to display correctly or are unresponsive, preventing configuration.
- Lack of import/export functionality, making data migration or backup challenging.
- Does not support certain organizational authentication methods beyond basic 6-digit codes.
- Browser compatibility issues, notably inconsistent behavior between Edge and Chrome.
