## Description

NZB Unity is a powerful Chrome extension that lets you send and control NZB files directly through SABnzbd or NZBGet download clients. With NZB Unity, you can easily monitor your download queue, pause or resume downloads, and enjoy seamless 1-click downloading from several popular membership NZB sites. This extension is tested with Chrome and Firefox and supports any browser compatible with webextensions.

Please note, for NZB sites that require authentication, NZB Unity only works if a 1-click download profile is available for that site. ## Review summary

NZB Unity is a useful Firefox add-on praised for its integration with SABnzbd and NZB indexers, user-friendly interface, and features like manual entry of Newznab sites. However, multiple users report connectivity problems, especially after updates, and issues with authentication and self-signed SSL certificates. Some find the GUI lacking compared to similar Chrome extensions. Overall, it’s functional and helpful for many but has recurring connection and usability challenges for others.

### Pros

- Works well with SABnzbd+ and NZB indexers, allowing easy integration.
- Has many useful features such as adding Newznab sites manually.
- User-friendly and offers a nice UI, considered a solid improvement over similar extensions.
- Saves users from re-entering SABnzbd information repeatedly, streamlining usability.
- Functions reliably for many users after setup is completed, especially if SSL certificates are handled properly.

### Cons

- Recent updates (especially version 2.0) broke functionality for some users, causing connection issues with SABnzbd.
- Connection to SABnzbd fails when authentication is required, reducing usability.
- SSL certificates for SABnzbd are often self-signed and require manual exception in Firefox to work properly.
- GUI could be improved; lacks features present in comparable Chrome extensions, such as one-click adding of NZB files directly to nzbget.
- Some users experience inaccurate download speed reporting or loss of status display from SABnzbd without clear resolution.
