Highlight the address bar, press e, then press tab, paste in an address or a transaction hash, then press enter. The extension will take you to the Etherscan page for the address or transaction.

Update: prepend "r" onto the address or tx to go to rinkeby Etherscan.

Could add Ropsten testenet, and BSC mintnet/testenet, Renkby is not used by a lot of people ???

Thank you very much for this. it would be awesome if one could just type in the symbol after hitting 'e' and it will open the corresponding page. (maybe with the API of coingecko, because for safety?) Anyways.. great help and thanks again.
