Your solar panels generate power, but a large portion of that electricity goes onto the grid at a low rate. The Ardo One ensures that you use that energy yourself: it stores your solar surplus as heat in your water. With this app, you can see exactly what that does.

The Ardo One is the smart energy controller that connects to your central heating boiler or heat pump. Via the included P1 meter, it monitors your yield and consumption in real time and only switches on when there is a surplus of solar energy. If the sun isn't shining, your heating works exactly as you are used to. This app is your window into that system.

WHAT YOU SEE IN THE APP

• Current consumption — at a glance, how much power all your Ardo devices are using right now.

• Today — how many kWh you have stored and how many euros you have saved as a result, updated throughout the day. • Insights — your stored energy and savings over the last 24 hours, 7 days, this month, or this year, with a graph per hour, day, or month.

• Per device — multiple Ardo units in the house? View the total or filter by a single device, with the breakdown per device below.

• Boiler temperature — track the temperature at the top and bottom of your boiler throughout the day, and scroll back to previous days to see when the sun was at work.

• Device details — the current readings of your Ardo One: temperatures, power, valve position, and the status of the device itself.

• Settings — your profile, your preferences, and secure logout.

The app is entirely in Dutch, with amounts in euros and times in the Dutch time zone. Pulling down briefly refreshes your data.

WHY ARDO

With the phasing out of the net metering scheme, feeding energy back into the grid yields less and less, while self-consumption is actually becoming more valuable. Ardo keeps your solar power in your own home in the form of heat: cheaper heating and hot water without you having to do anything. How much you save depends on your situation, your consumption, and the number of solar panels. In the app, you can see in black and white what this yields for you.

The Ardo One works with virtually all heat pumps with a Smart Grid Ready or thermostat connection, and with central heating boilers in combination with a water heater. Installation on the heat pump is plug & play; for the central heating solution, half a day is sufficient.

WHAT YOU NEED

This app is part of the Ardo One hardware. To use it, you need:

• an Ardo One connected to your central heating boiler or heat pump
• an Ardo account
• an internet connection
