## Description

NextPage is a lightweight Chrome extension designed to improve online reading of documents and novels. It rebinding the SPC (Space) key to scroll down the page, and when you reach the bottom, it automatically navigates to the next page. Additionally, you can press the 'n' key anytime to jump directly to the next page. From version 2.12.0, NextPage also prerenders or prefetches the next page link to speed up page loading.

This free software, released under the GPLv3 license, supports English, Chinese, and German web pages. Users can customize key bindings for navigation functions and even disable the extension on specific websites. It does not collect any user data and ensures privacy while enhancing productivity for readers and online document users.

## Review summary

Users praise nextpage for reliably finding the next page, flexible custom keybindings, and compatibility with mouse/gesture mappings. Common complaints are that previous/forward controls can be unclear or less polished and that more customization (auto mode, additional key mappings, copy-title option, and clearer mouse-wheel mapping) is desired.

### Pros

- Accurately detects and jumps to the ‘next’ page on most sites — users report it works reliably.
- Customizable keyboard shortcuts — multiple users praise the ability to set their own keys.
- Works well with mouse/scroll mappings and global gestures (e.g., spacebar/scroll-wheel mappings) for easy paging.

### Cons

- Previous/forward navigation is confusing or less usable — users want the ‘previous’ action to be as reliable as ‘next’.
- Users request more customization options (auto mode toggle, copy title only, additional key mappings like PgUp/PgDown/Home/End).
- Some users want clearer or more flexible mouse-wheel/scroll mapping options (adjust which wheel/button triggers paging).
