AWS Account Identifier

Adds a description with a specific color to the AWS's navigation bar depending on the account you are connected to.

The AWS Account Identifier Chrome extension enhances your AWS Management Console experience by adding a descriptive, color-coded header to the AWS navigation bar. This feature allows users working across multiple AWS accounts to quickly and easily identify which account they are connected to, reducing confusion and preventing mistakes.

A standout feature is the ability to import AWS accounts directly from the AWS SSO start page, simplifying account management within the extension. This tool is invaluable for professionals managing multi-account AWS environments, improving efficiency and security by making account context immediately clear.

It had one job...... For SSO, it just doesn't work. It's supposed to be simple enough: Have a tab open for your AWS SSO Start page and click on the extension, then click on Import Accounts. Well, that button is grayed out and no matter what you do, it never activates and you can't import that accounts.

Not sure what's going on here but it doesn't seem to work. Isn't able to identify the account currently logged in to and Import from SSO doesn't seem to be doing anything either

Extension safety

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

AWS Account Identifier requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
