en The name "cloud" implies not working locally. You have - a great design. - infinitely nested folders Consider 1 - making one with export / import to JSON so does not require sign up 2 - Open sourcing code to gain trust and I will give 5 stars

I am new to this extension and it is really easy to use! The bookmarks feature is reliable. The best thing about this extension is that all of your Google favorites and custom favorites and if for some reason your contacts and bookmarks unsync or have a computer issues, it will save everything and resync everything! Just hit the restore button! Give it a try! It is free and I really recommend it!

I use Google Bookmarks to save my favorites with the star on the URL bar in Chrome. I am just learning about Chrome extensions and I tried out a popular bookmark extension with a lot of users and 4 star review. It was too complicated for me. I like Cloud Bookmarks as I have been able to use it to find my favorites and organize them visually instead of the tiny Google folders. Its pretty simple to learn compared to the ones I uninstalled after giving up on them. It syncs up my bookmarks daily with a backup and restore so I don't loose them all again. Came back from repair shop with no more bookmarks after it had something reloaded by the repairman.

So I'll step up be the first to review this product. I rarely leave reviews unless a product is really good or really bad. In this case I was very pleasantly surprised so feel compelled to give something back in way of a positive review. I have used almost a dozen bookmark manager extensions searching for the ideal fit. Many simply don't work that well or don't provide backup and restore features. That narrows the field. This new visual bookmark manager exceeded my expectations. My last “go to” bookmark extension manager (prefer not to name) provided backup and restore, but it was extremely confusing and a paid upgrade from the free version. The product has about three names or versions on the Google extension store, the backup and restore feature uses two completely unrelated websites with yet different names than the product and the user interface of the bookmark extension. It was like learning to ride a bike all over again -a huge loss of time "relearning it" -each time I used my previous bookmark manager. Cloud Bookmarks is simple, has a clean interface, and its backup and restore feature doesn't require me to remember which website to use to perform that a backup or restore function. It just does it for you when you click a backup or restore button on the top right when logged in to the extension. I click the back up or restore button (depending on what I want to do). It backs up both my Google Chrome bookmarks as well as any custom bookmarks I create on my own in the extension. And restores them when I click restore, simple. I could go on, but in short this tool is already my new favorite bookmark manager. I found and reported a bug and the developer had it fixed and reloaded on the store (it auto-updated my version). The developer replied to me on the support board connected to the tool within about 3 days. I'm looking forward with enthusiasm to any future enhancements as this product evolves over time. Kudo's to the developer for making it free with such robust functionality out of the gate as a newcomer to the field. Nice work, 5 Stars for sure and thank you for making it available.
