User reviews

Enpass Password Manager is praised for its strong encryption, user-friendly interface, and broad browser integration. Users appreciate its flexibility in storing passwords locally or in the cloud. However, multiple reviews highlight inconsistent autofill performance, especially on certain sites and with Chinese characters. Stability issues including crashes and recent bugs affecting usability have also been reported. Some users desire improved language support and more streamlined password entry. Overall, Enpass is considered a powerful, secure option with room for improvement in autofill reliability and localization.
Pros
  • Offers strong security with AES-256 encryption.
  • Supports cross-browser integration allowing seamless access across browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
  • Has a clean, intuitive interface that is easy to use.
  • Allows organizing passwords into custom categories and generating secure passwords.
  • Enables local and cloud storage options for passwords, giving user control over data storage.
Cons
  • Autofill functionality is inconsistent, sometimes misidentifying form fields or not working on certain sites, including Apple ID pages and basic HTTP authentication.
  • Issues with Chinese language support such as garbled text display and lack of Chinese search support.
  • Occasional stability problems, including crashes of the desktop app, especially on macOS and some Linux environments.
  • Recent bugs causing input cursor to get stuck in text fields requiring workarounds.
  • Some users feel password entry procedures are lengthy compared to other managers.
Recent reviews
I was an early supporter of this developer. I purchased what he called a pro version back in the day which was a buy once gig and always get to keep it. Then once day the dev / owner decided to go back on his promise then decided to make any new cool features wasn't ever coming to hie long term supporters (a big f u to them) after paying up back in the early days. He then produced some cool new features which his old supporters expected as they were being rolled out as standard in all other password managers going out there, including completely free open source variant, and instead of apprecuate his early adopters that supported his business and helped him grow he decided the one time payment wasn't enough anymore, he now offers us another one time payment (again) to enable us to get what everyone else is getting free on other competitor password managers. Note: When this developer says one time payment, you can't trust him judging by his track record for his customers.

When the software is automatically updating the data, if the account name contains Chinese characters, the Chinese parts are displayed as garbled text. I hope this can be fixed.

This is determined by the publisher and the Edge add-on reputation on Edge Add-on Store, the amount of time the Edge add-on has been around, and other signals about the Edge add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing an Edge add-on.
