MCPing puts live server status in your toolbar — online or offline, the current player count, real ping latency, and the server MOTD exactly as it appears in-game. Most status tools draw a straight line across the hours your browser was closed, or drop the count to zero. Both are fiction. MCPing keeps three states apart: the server was up, the server was confirmed down, or nobody was watching. Unmonitored time is greyed out rather than invented, and a failed lookup on your end is never recorded as an outage or turned into a false alarm.

Only real transitions notify, and each alert type is muted for ten minutes per server. A flapping host produces one notification, not forty.
