WebScrapBook is a powerful Chrome extension designed to capture web pages exactly as you see them, preserving all details including metadata like source URLs and timestamps. Offering multiple archive formats (folder, ZIP-based HTZ or MAFF, or single HTML files), it allows users to customize what content to save—from selected areas to entire source pages. Beyond storage, users can annotate, highlight, and edit pages before or after capturing.

Organize your captured web content in intuitive scrapbooks within a hierarchical sidebar tree, add notes in HTML or markdown, and quickly retrieve data through robust full-text searching. With support for remote backend servers, WebScrapBook enables access and editing across devices and can generate static website indexes. It also supports mobile browsers such as Firefox for Android and Kiwi, ensuring flexibility for on-the-go capturing. Legacy ScrapBook users can easily migrate their collections for uninterrupted use. For extended functionality, a backend server setup using PyWebScrapBook is available, empowering users with collaborative and enhanced archival features.
