Arc Peek: Link preview

"Arc Peek" allows users to preview links, similar to the functionality in the Arc browser.

Arc Peek is a Chrome extension designed to enhance your browsing experience by enabling link previews directly within your current tab. Simply shift+click or drag a link to open a preview in a sliding window, allowing you to quickly glance at linked content without fully navigating away. Clicking outside the preview closes it, and an expand button lets you open the link in a new tab if desired.

While most websites work seamlessly with this feature, some may have limitations due to their use of service workers, Content Security Policies, or disabled drag and shift+click events. Arc Peek aims to replicate the popular link preview functionality found in the Arc browser for all Chrome users. Note that this extension includes partnerships with Mellowtel's monetization network.

Freshly added to my browser. Wow! Fantastic. Just what I was looking for, for Edge. Thank you kindly Edit: Still checking it out. I found that each "Peek" opens up in a new tab and does not auto close the tab after a Peek. Is there a setting for that? Hopefully still coming if that setting is not available yet?

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Arc Peek: Link preview requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
