EDIT: (year(s) later?) Not working for outlook.office.com. Tried and tried but no matter what settings I use, when I click the extension, it shows "There are no background requests and no scheduled page reloads running at this time. Click on Settings button above to view or add background rules" Seems really great, but I'm not sure which settings I need to use for outlook web app (owa) other people need this for outlook too: https://www.quora.com/Why-does-Outlook-365-web-version-does-not-have-desktop-notifications-in-Chrome

5 Stars because its the best available right now but I have a suggestion/question - is it possible for the timer to start based on a condition such as the tab being not focused? That would help solve problem of losing data on current page due to refresh while typing into it
