## Description

Lexigo is an instant, in-browser dictionary that makes reading online smoother and more enjoyable. Look up any word with a simple double click, or configure a trigger key (Ctrl, Alt, or Shift) to avoid accidental lookups.

Every lookup gives you:
- <strong>Up to five definitions</strong>, grouped by part of speech, with example sentences where available
- <strong>Pronunciation</strong>: phonetic transcription plus a speaker icon that plays a recording, or your browser's speech synthesis when none exists
- <strong>Nested lookups</strong>: double-click a word inside a popup to look that up too
- A <strong>Learn more</strong> link for a deeper dive
- <strong>Light/Dark mode</strong>: the popup follows your system theme

Lexigo can also keep a <strong>word history</strong>: every term you look up, saved with its definitions, giving you a personal library of words you have explored. Download it as a CSV at any time, ready for spreadsheets or flashcard apps, or reset it whenever you want to start fresh.

Lexigo currently supports <strong>English</strong>. Support for more languages is being explored.

<strong>Privacy, always</strong>: no tracking, no metrics, no accounts, no AI. Lookups go directly to a public dictionary service and nowhere else; your word history is stored locally in your browser and never leaves it.
