## Description

Calm Commit is a simple task management app that helps you choose the one thing that matters most today and keep it visible on your Home Screen.

Instead of trying to manage every task perfectly, Calm Commit helps you focus on the one thing that would make you feel, “If I finish this, today is a great day.” It is designed to help you enjoy a small sense of achievement and move through your day with a calmer mind.

Why I Built This App

After publishing my book, The Conclusion of Task Management for People Who Always Feel Short on Time from Sogo Horei Publishing, it was reprinted shortly after release and received a lot of positive feedback on social media.

In the book, I introduce a way to build a personalized task management system by combining well-known task management frameworks. At the same time, some readers told me that the system took time to set up, or that they wanted to start with only the most essential features.

That is why I created this app. Calm Commit focuses on two ideas from the book that are easy to practice every day: Today’s Mission and If-Then Habits. It is built so that anyone can start right away. As the developer, I also use the app every day and continue improving it.

Today’s Mission

Set just one thing you want to make most important today.

For example:

Finish the first draft of a proposal
Clean your room
Study for 30 minutes
Decide on a family plan

When you complete it, simply tap the button. The goal is not to add more tasks, but to help you focus on what truly matters to you today.

Home Screen Widget

You can display Today’s Mission on your Home Screen.

Even without opening the app, you can check your most important task every time you look at your phone. When notifications or urgent requests pull your attention away, the widget helps you remember the focus you chose for the day.

Widget Memo

You can also display a free-form memo on your Home Screen, separate from Today’s Mission.

For example:

Buy eggs
Bring an umbrella
Call at 10
Take out burnable trash tomorrow

Use it like a sticky note for shopping lists, things to bring, schedules, or anything you do not want to forget.

If-Then Habits

Create habits in the form of “If I do X, then I will do Y.”

For example:

After I brush my teeth in the morning, I will drink a glass of water
Before I start work, I will check Today’s Mission
After lunch, I will walk for 5 minutes
Before going to bed, I will prepare for tomorrow

By deciding in advance when and what to do, it becomes easier to build habits without relying only on willpower.

Streaks

When you complete Today’s Mission or check off a habit, your streak grows.

No pressure. No burnout. Just a calm, wave-like way to keep going and record your small daily progress.

Memo

Freely write down thoughts, shopping lists, work notes, ideas, and more. You can also use Calm Commit as a simple memo app.

Reminders

Receive reminders to set Today’s Mission at the time you choose. You can customize reminder times and messages to match your morning, afternoon, or evening routine.

Premium

Premium makes the app even more comfortable to use.

Remove ads
Unlock unlimited memos and habit plans
Set photos as backgrounds
Customize the app with water themes and more

Monthly, yearly, and lifetime plans are available.

Choose the one thing that matters most today.
Keep it in mind.
Complete it, and end your day with a calm sense of achievement.

If this gets done, today feels complete.
Make that one thing your Today’s Mission.
