The idea behind Phisherman is to raise phishing awareness through a zero-trust approach to emails. This approach works by not trusting "emails" that come from your known & unknown senders. Why? Hackers try very hard to impersonate trusted senders to phish you.

The extension opens a table on your email page with all the important sender's security information highlighted for you to check:

who sends it
who mails it
who signs it
all the links

Whitelist the senders you trust or turn off the extension by clicking on the Phisherman icon.

This is determined by the publisher and the Chrome extension reputation on Chrome Web Store, the amount of time the Chrome extension has been around, and other signals about the Chrome extension. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Chrome extension.
