## Description

DACEReader is a technical application dedicated to organizing, managing, and reading EPUB files. The app&#39;s primary goal is to provide a centralized environment for users with digital book collections stored locally on their devices.<br><br>IMPORTANT!<br>File System Access Requirements:<br>To fulfill its basic functionality, DACEReader requires the &quot;Access to all files&quot; permission (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE). This technical requirement is due to the very nature of the application:<br><br>Scanning and Indexing: The app automatically scans the device&#39;s directories to locate EPUB files and organize them into a virtual shelf.<br><br>Data Persistence: Access is essential for the automatic saving of reading progress (Bookmark), ensuring that the user can resume reading from the last word read, regardless of the file&#39;s location in memory.<br><br>Metadata and Tag Management: Allows cataloging of volumes using a tag structure (e.g., name_tags) that facilitates real-time searching and sorting.<br><br>Without this permission, the application is unable to detect content, making it unable to provide the reading and management service for which it was designed.<br><br>Technical Features:<br>Adaptive Display: Text scaling system with fluid layout to ensure optimal readability on any screen.<br><br>Text-to-Speech (TTS): Integration with text-to-speech engines for audio reading of texts, with granular control over speed and pitch.<br><br>Search Engine: Real-time search by title or author within the indexed library.<br><br>Advanced Management: Ability to remove volumes from the library with a confirmation system for data security.<br><br>Dynamic Interface: Support for vertical scrolling (scroll) and gesture navigation (swipe) between chapters.<br><br>Developed by Franco Dace - dace.info
