On a phone with ARCore, aim at each floor corner and tap. Then the ceiling height, the doors and windows, and a photo of each wall. Rooms measured in one go line up with each other, and you can carry on up or down the stairs to the next floor. Where a corner hides behind furniture, hold the phone flat on each wall instead. On any phone, type the lengths from a tape or laser, or trace rooms on a photo or PDF of a floor plan.

Take measured photos as you go. Later, tap two points on a photo to measure between them, or pin a defect or a note to the spot. They arrive in Plotlay pinned in the room.

Sketch the house first if you like: rough boxes in the order you will walk, with the doors between them. Each room you measure takes its place.

Check a length against your tape (one wall, wall to wall, or any two points, inside or outside), and the plan rescales to match. Go through each room to confirm what each door really is, the ceiling height, feature walls, and the lights and fans the camera can't see.

Outdoors, capture trees, fences, paths, garden beds, lawn, paving, the boundary and the house walls. GPS places the drawing on the map. Asked for GPS at a few points? The app walks you to each one and averages the reading.

Every scan shows wall lengths, room areas and ceiling heights, floor by floor, with a 3D model of each room and of the whole scan. Share it as a PDF plan, an image, a DXF for CAD, a glTF 3D model or a scan file.

Using Plotlay on the web? Choose Scan rooms there, scan its QR code with this app, and the plan arrives in your project. Turn on Live and each room shows in the project as you finish it. Signed in with your Plotlay account, send straight to any of your projects and see your work list: scan requests, actions to check on site, and GPS points to capture.

Then, in Plotlay on the web, furnish the plan, walk through it in 3D and make photo renders.
