## Description

KeyNest is an offline-first Android password and passkey manager. Your credentials<br>are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to any external server.<br>No account, no cloud sync.<br><br>What KeyNest does<br><br>- Acts as an Android Autofill service, surfacing matching credentials on login screens<br>- Works with inline suggestions on GBoard and other IMEs<br>- Unlocks via biometric (fingerprint / face) or device credential when an autofill<br>  candidate is selected<br>- Acts as a Passkey provider on Android 14 and later (selectable from &quot;Passwords,<br>  passkeys &amp; autofill&quot; settings)<br>- Encrypts secrets with AES-GCM, with keys backed by the Android Keystore<br>  (TEE / StrongBox where available)<br>- Supports custom fields for business apps that ask for member number, staff ID,<br>  branch code, or other non-standard inputs<br>- Reuses fields detected during prior autofill sessions when you register new<br>  credentials<br>- Material 3 with automatic light / dark theme switching<br><br>What KeyNest does NOT do<br><br>- No cloud sync<br>- No multi-device sharing<br>- No external data transmission, including backup uploads<br>- No account registration, no sign-up<br><br>If you need the same data on multiple devices, please wait for an upcoming export<br>feature.<br><br>Privacy by design<br><br>KeyNest does not send your credentials to the developer, Google, or any third party.<br>The INTERNET permission is intentionally not declared in AndroidManifest, so any<br>network attempt anywhere in the app fails fast at the OS level with a<br>SecurityException.<br><br>Who it&#39;s for<br><br>- People who want their passwords to stay on the device<br>- Anyone storing business app logins alongside member numbers / staff IDs<br>- Privacy-conscious users uncomfortable with cloud password managers<br>- Anyone looking for a lightweight passkey provider on Android 14+<br><br>Requirements<br><br>- Android 8.0 (API 26) and later<br>- Passkey features require Android 14 (API 34) or later<br><br>Open source<br><br>KeyNest is MIT licensed.
