## Description

Aegis Sentinel Lite is a local device-security helper. It scans the apps already on your device and flags risky permission combinations so you can see what is actually capable of what, in plain language.<br><br>Aegis Lite is free to install. The security tools remain available without a purchase. A one-time $4.99 in-app purchase unlocks the local notes, media, and file vault after the three-day vault trial - there are no subscriptions, ads, analytics, accounts, or cloud upload.<br><br>What it does:<br>- Clear first-run disclosure before the installed-app permission audit runs.<br>- Full installed-app inventory with search and filter chips for apps that need review, all apps, user apps, changed apps, high risk, sideloaded, system, sensitive permissions, installers, and broad app visibility.<br>- Local change tracking to show apps or granted permissions that changed since the previous permission audit.<br>- Permission audit for risky combinations such as overlay plus accessibility, SMS plus contacts plus internet, package-install capability, and broad app visibility.<br>- One-tap jump to Android&#39;s own App Info screen for a flagged app.<br>- Basic device health check for root indicators, debuggable builds, app signature mismatch, and open Wi-Fi.<br>- Local scan history with trend labels and per-scan details.<br>- Optional background protection, off by default, using Android WorkManager.<br>- Local encrypted vault for short notes, sealed with Android Keystore.<br>- Local encrypted media and file vault for photos, documents, and selected folders chosen through Android&#39;s system picker.<br>- Plain-text report export through Android&#39;s share sheet.<br>- Privacy controls to delete scan history, exported reports, background-check state, vault notes, and media/file vault data.<br><br>What it does not do:<br>- No ads, analytics, account, or cloud upload. The only internet access is Google Play&#39;s own purchase processing for the one-time vault unlock.<br>- No anti-uninstall behavior, hidden persistence, or always-running service.<br>- It cannot remove, block, or modify other apps. Findings are informational; Android&#39;s own settings are where you change permissions or uninstall apps.<br><br>This is a diagnostic tool, not an antivirus replacement. It cannot catch everything, and a clean scan is not a guarantee. Its job is to make Android&#39;s existing app permission information easier to understand and act on.
