## Description

IE View WE is a Firefox extension allowing users to open web pages and links directly in Internet Explorer, ensuring compatibility with legacy websites that require IE. It is a WebExtensions-based clone of the classic IE View addon, compatible with Firefox 57 and later versions.

To use IE View WE, users must install a native messaging host via an MSI installer or zip package. It includes functionality for specifying URLs that should automatically open in Internet Explorer using Firefox's matching pattern specification. The extension also supports managed storage, enabling system administrators to deploy fixed configurations for business environments. Additionally, it can import preferences from the original MCD configuration file, including settings for IE executable path, arguments, url lists, context menu options, and debug mode.

Note that this addon is no longer maintained and users are recommended to consider BrowserSelector as an alternative.
