This is the official U.S. Department of Justice NSOPW mobile app. Funded through the SMART grant, it adds convenient access to the National Sex Offender Public Website data, enabling nationwide searches by location radius or by offender name. Users can search within ¼ mile, ½ mile, or 1 mile radii, and initial searches use the device’s location, with the option to search from other locations by tapping points on the map.

If a jurisdiction does not support searching by geographic coordinates, a ZIP code search is used and results can be viewed by tapping the status message at the top. The 'More Information' button links to offender details on the registering jurisdiction’s public site, which is outside NSOPW’s control. The app’s purpose is to provide search by location and name; for sexual abuse education and general information, visit nsopw.gov.
