## Review summary

The Particle IoT iOS app is seen as useful for quick device checks and basic monitoring, with some onboarding improvements. However, it is hampered by repeated crashes, inconsistent WiFi setup, lack of support for newer hardware and mesh features, flaky mesh setup, and minimal in-app diagnostics or firmware tools. Many users also want iPad-native support. Overall sentiment is mixed to negative, with occasional positives when it works.

### Pros

- Useful for quick checks of online devices and initial setup
- Helpful for monitoring multiple Particle devices from a single app
- Onboarding improvements like skipping the welcome screen after login

### Cons

- Frequent crashes and stability issues across iOS versions and devices
- Unreliable WiFi connectivity and setup, with many users unable to connect to WiFi
- Lack of support for newer hardware (Photon 2) and modules (Tinker/Tracker) and unknown device types
- Mesh network setup is flaky and problematic (including mesh edition)
- Limited in-app diagnostics and debugging tools; no in-app firmware upgrade/recovery options (reliance on CLI)
