## Description

Lifeline is a playable, branching survival story delivered through your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. Real-time messages from Taylor keep you engaged as you decide her fate, with notifications arriving throughout your day. You can even respond from your Apple Watch or lock screen without launching the app.

Lifeline plays offline, with no ads and no in-app purchases, and supports multiple languages (English, French, German, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Korean). In version 1.8, a special epilogue—Lifeline: Silent Night—expands the story for players who have finished the main path.

## Review summary

Reviews generally praise Lifeline's real-time, text-based storytelling, engaging atmosphere, and Apple Watch support. The main drawbacks are slow pacing due to real-time mechanics, notification fatigue, limited branching with few meaningful choices, and mixed views on the writing. Overall, fans love the concept and mood, but some find the mechanics and pacing reduce enjoyment.

### Pros

- Engaging, atmospheric narrative with emotional depth and a snarky but endearing main character.
- Choose-your-own-adventure format with branching outcomes and replay potential.
- Apple Watch integration enhances immersion and makes the experience feel more immediate.

### Cons

- Long real-time waits slow the pacing and progression.
- Frequent notifications can feel spammy or overwhelming.
- Limited meaningful branching; most choices lead to similar outcomes and only a few endings.
- Mixed reception to writing and tone; some reviews find the quips off or the writing not particularly compelling.
