Matrix Analysis computes exactly.

Most calculators work in floating point, so the determinant of a whole-number matrix comes back as 23.000000000000004 and an inverse arrives full of rounding noise. This one uses exact fraction arithmetic throughout. Integer matrices give integer answers. Inverses come back as fractions like -3/7, not 0.428571...

SOLVING SYSTEMS

Type equations the way you write them:

    2x + 3y - z = 5
    x - y + 2z = 3
    3x + y + z = 10

Matrix Analysis builds the system and solves it, answering with your own variable names. It handles every case, not just the tidy one: a unique solution, infinitely many (shown as a particular solution plus a basis of the null space), or none at all — where it tells you the system is inconsistent and why. More unknowns than equations, or more equations than unknowns, both work.

EIGENVALUES DONE HONESTLY

The characteristic polynomial is computed exactly. Its roots are found numerically, then each one is offered a nearby exact value — so an integer matrix with integer eigenvalues gives exact answers and clean whole-number eigenvectors, while irrational and complex eigenvalues are shown as decimals and clearly marked approximate. You always know which you are looking at. Algebraic and geometric multiplicities are reported, and defective matrices are flagged as such.
