## Description

One-off fee. Free updates. No ads/subscription/registration. Scan barcode. Sync w FLMC apps. Share w Apple Health. Color-coding for plants, pre & probiotics, UPFs, FODMAP

Use this app to avoid calcium deficiency, which is common if you are on a vegan, milk-free or weightloss diet or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Deficiency results in osteoporosis with weakened fracture-prone bones and loose teeth, impaired muscle function with muscle cramps and spasms, dry skin, and brittle hair and nails. In addition, women under 55 years of age who have a higher calcium intake have been found to have a lower risk of bowel cancer.
Set your target daily calcium intake based on guidance provided in the app and your preferences for weights of food (g or oz).
Record food and beverage consumption using the barcode scanner (please note that only manufacturers in the US are required to include calcium content in the nutrition label read by the scanner), dictation, search or by favoriting foods and using the serving sizes provided (which can be changed at any time). Tap the notepad to add notes. Compare the calcium content of different foods by tapping the Compare button on the "Foods" screen.
Monitor daily and long-term progress, export data to share with healthcare providers, synchronize data with other First Line Medical Communications Ltd nutrient counter apps, and share data with Apple's HealthKit.
Add your own foods and recipes and change serving sizes to personalize the app's 400-item database for you.
All food and beverage popups indicate whether the item is a plant, good prebiotic, probiotic or ultra-processed food (UPF) to inform a healthy diet and whether they are high or low FODMAP per serving where data are available to support people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Useful lists show calcium content of foods per 1oz or 100g and serving, which can be toggled from high to low & low to high. Also useful UPF, unprocessed plant, prebiotic, probiotic, high & low FODMAP food lists.

## Review summary

Reviewers largely criticize the app for a limited, poorly updated database and unreliable barcode scanning, causing frequent manual data entry. The UI is described as clunky and not intuitive, with difficult adjustments to servings and questionable calculations. Readability issues (purple highlights) further hinder use. Some note improvements in scanning and responsive support, but overall the core tracking experience is unreliable, leading many users to seek alternatives or manual tracking.

### Pros

- Barcode scanning feature has been improved to be easier and more accurate.
- Customer support responds quickly with clear instructions.
- Ability to enter custom foods into the list.

### Cons

- Very limited and often outdated food database; many items are missing or poorly matched.
- Barcode scanning is unreliable: many items don’t scan, brands are missing, and you often must manually adjust values.
- The UI is clunky and not intuitive, with rigidity and difficulty adjusting serving sizes.
- Calculations and tracking are buggy or cumbersome, requiring manual work and often producing inconsistent results.
- Readability of high-calcium items is hindered by purple highlighting making text hard to read.
