## Description

Logeion is a single app that lets you search any Greek or Latin word across a suite of classical dictionaries. Developed at the University of Chicago, it provides simultaneous lookups from major lexicons, including Liddell and Scott’s Greek-English Lexicon (LSJ), Lewis and Short’s Latin-English Lexicon, and the Dictionary of Greek–Español (DGE) — in progress up to εξάυος — as well as Slater’s Lexicon to Pindar and the Woordenboek Grieks/Nederlands (also in progress). For frequently used terms, the app offers frequency and collocation information, plus example sentences drawn from the Perseus corpus. It also anchors its data in foundational Greek and Latin textbooks such as Frieze’s Vergil’s Aeneid, An Intensive Course, Reading Greek, Learn to Read Greek/Latin, Introduction to Attic Greek, Wheelock’s Latin, and the Basiswoordenlijst Latijn, including English translations of sample sentences. This makes Logeion a compact, one-stop reference for students and scholars of classical languages.
