## Description

Since Oct 2025: 50 questions, 30 minutes, 45 to pass. 497 questions, each showing the rulebook text it rests on.

Practice for the written test (chishiki kakunin) you sit when converting a foreign driving licence to a Japanese one. Japanese, English and Simplified Chinese — switch any time.

■ The test changed in October 2025
It went from 10 questions to 50: you have 30 minutes and need 45 correct (90%). Six wrong and you fail. The mock exam here uses exactly those conditions.

■ Every question shows its source
Questions are drawn from the Rules for Road Use published by the National Police Agency. After each answer you see which chapter and section it rests on, plus the original Japanese sentence, word for word. When you doubt an answer, you don't have to take our word for it.
