FolderVideoPlayer plays the videos you already own - straight from your own NAS - on the biggest screen in the house.

Point it at a folder on your SMB file share and every video inside plays back to back, with poster frames so you browse by picture, not by filename. Nothing is copied to the Apple TV: video streams from your share over your local network, a piece at a time.

- Poster frames for every video, generated from the file itself - folders with names like 240_300_0QiT5-G141-.mp4 finally look like something
- Smart thumbnail caching - every frame is saved on your Apple TV and on your share, so browsing stays fast even in libraries of 5,000+ videos, and once a thumbnail is made it's never made again
- Sort by name, date or size, with the direction remembered across folders
- Play All plays a folder through to the end, then loops or shuffles

Tag it your way
- Tag videos from the TV with one click - Favorites, and any tags you like
- Tags sync with the FolderVideoPlayer Mac app through your own share - nothing goes through a server or the cloud
- If several people use the same NAS, everyone's tags stay separate automatically
