HOW TO USE

First, remove your phone case and move away from nearby metal objects and electronics. Tap “Zero for Surroundings,” then slowly move the top of your iPhone across the area you want to scan.

Look for a repeated local increase instead of relying on a single measurement. Scan the same area from different directions for better comparison.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Magnetic Meter is not a professional safety device or certified wire detector. It only displays changes measured by your phone’s magnetometer.

Aluminum, copper and some stainless steels may produce a weak response or no response at all. The app cannot determine whether a magnetic change is caused by metal, electricity or another magnetic source.

Do not use this app to confirm whether electrical wiring exists or is de-energized. Always use appropriate professional equipment before drilling, cutting or performing electrical work.
