## Description

Mix your own sports drink. Calculate carbs, sodium and ingredient weights. Compare blends, prepare batches, save favourites and share recipes. Works offline.

Mix My Bottle works out a home-made carbohydrate drink for cycling, running and triathlon. Tell it the bottle size, how many grams of carbohydrate you want per hour and how long the bottle should last, choose your ingredients, and it returns the weight of each one, the sodium content and an estimated osmolality so you know whether the drink sits in the isotonic range or is a concentrated bottle to pair with plain water.

WHAT IT DOES

- Carbohydrate targets from 30 to 120 g per hour, with glucose:fructose ratios from 1:0.8 to 2:1 or a single source.
- Ingredients you can actually buy: maltodextrin, dextrose, table sugar and fructose, plus sodium citrate, table salt, sodium alginate and citrus pectin.
- Sodium targets of 350, 500 or 700 mg per litre, or your own figure, filled citrate-first with an optional share from salt.
- Optional hydrogel agents at research-drink proportions, with a plain statement of what the evidence does and does not show.
- Batch mode for weighing 5 or 10 bottles of dry premix at once.
- Presets inspired by the published label figures of well-known drink mixes, for comparison.
- Share a recipe as text to your notes, messages or a training partner.
- English and Spanish, light and dark, and it remembers your last bottle.

HOW IT CALCULATES

Osmolality is estimated from the number of dissolved particles each ingredient contributes: maltodextrin is modelled as DE10 chains, sucrose as one particle, sodium citrate and salt as their dissociated ions. Guidance bands follow the Australian Institute of Sport sports-drink range (below 8 g carbohydrate per 100 mL and 230 to 690 mg sodium per litre), and the app tells you when a recipe sits outside them and what that means. The full method, assumptions and references are at mixmybottle.com/method/.

NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING

The calculator runs entirely on your phone and works offline. Nothing you enter leaves the device.

Mix My Bottle is a planning aid for adult endurance athletes. It does not replace advice from a sports dietitian or doctor.
