## Description

The needle tells you if you are in tune. The pitch trace tells you if you are staying there: the honest test for bowed strings and voice.

Advanced Tuner is a free guitar tuner and chromatic tuner that also handles bass, violin, ukulele, mandolin, viola and cello. Play a string, read the needle, done: tuning to the cent, with no menus in the way.

TEN TUNINGS, READY TO GO
• Guitar: standard EADGBE, Eb (half step down) and D (full step down)
• Bass, ukulele and mandolin
• Violin, viola and cello
• Chromatic mode for everything else: it finds the nearest note on its own

AUTOMATIC OR STRING BY STRING
Leave it in automatic and it follows whatever you play. Or pick a string and it holds it, so a fret buzz or a neighbouring string cannot steal the reading.

YOUR OWN TUNINGS
Drop D, open G, DADGAD, seven-string guitar, banjo, baritone ukulele. Name each string, set its frequency, save it. Up to 7 strings per tuning.

TUNE BY EAR TOO
Tap a string to hear it, recorded from the real instrument. Useful for a wind instrument, a voice, or anywhere a microphone struggles.
