Dockside is a fast, independent app for London's public cycle hire scheme.

See every docking station in London on one map, with live bike and space counts, and get a release code without waiting for a web page to load.

MAP FIRST
• All 800 docking stations are bundled with the app, so the map is drawn the moment you open it
• Live availability, refreshed automatically as you move around
• Docks are colour-coded at a glance: green when bikes are available, blue when only e-bikes are left, grey when a dock is empty
• A ring around each dock shows how full it is
• One tap to recentre on your location

HIRE IN SECONDS
• Tap a dock, tap Hire, get your release code
• The code stays on screen as a banner until you dismiss it, so you can't lose it on the walk to the stand
• Pin the docks you use every day

YOUR RIDES
• Journey history and totals, cached so they open instantly

WHAT YOU NEED
Browsing the map and checking availability works without an account. To hire a bike you sign in with your existing Cycle Hire account and need an active access period — Single, Monthly or Annual. You can buy or renew one, and manage your payment details, on the cycle hire website.

Dockside is an independent app. Docking station locations and availability come from Transport for London's Unified API under the TfL Open Data licence. Contains OS data © Crown copyright and database rights 2016 and Geomni UK Map data © and database rights 2019.
