## Description

FernRoute records where you go — a private GPS trajectory — and keeps it on your iPhone. Start a capture before a run, a walk, or a car trip; FernRoute logs the route and lets you add meaning to it. No account or sign-in is required for local logging, and your trips never leave your iPhone unless you export them — or turn on optional FernRoute Cloud backup (Pro).

RECORD IN THE BACKGROUND
Tap Start once. FernRoute keeps logging while the app is in the background or the screen is locked (requires Always location). A live bar shows distance, time, and points as you go.

HEAR YOUR PROGRESS
Turn on audio cues and FernRoute speaks your distance, time, and average speed as you go — every kilometre, hands-free, even with the phone away or on CarPlay. Trip start and finish are announced too.

CARPLAY
Start, pause, resume, and finish a trip from your CarPlay screen — and set the trip's purpose or speak a quick note about where you're headed, so you never type while driving.

APPLE WATCH
Start and check a trip from your wrist, with a watch-face complication for one-tap capture.

ADAPTS TO WHAT YOU'RE DOING
FernRoute detects walking, cycling, or driving and adjusts capture accuracy and stop detection automatically — a car idling at a light won't end your trip.

AUTOMATIC CAPTURE (OPTIONAL)
Let FernRoute watch for movement and start a trip on its own, then stop when you've arrived. Set your own distance and time thresholds. Saved places (home/work) pause tracking so nothing runs while you're there.

LABEL & REPORT
Assign a vehicle and a purpose (personal / business / commute) to each trip. A mileage summary totals distance per vehicle and your business-use % — handy at tax time.

PHOTOS & DOCUMENTS
Add photos to a trip, or scan a receipt, business card, or document with the built-in scanner — edges detected and straightened automatically — and keep it with the trip.

EDIT YOUR TRIPS
Split a trip into parts, merge separate recordings into one, or trim the start and end for privacy — even snap endpoints to a saved place.

EXPORT ANYWHERE
Share a trip, or several at once as a zip, in GPX, GeoJSON, or CSV — to Files, AirDrop, Mail, or any app.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No analytics. No tracking. Every trip lives in an on-device store and never leaves your phone unless you export it yourself — or enable optional FernRoute Cloud backup (Pro).

FERNROUTE PRO (OPTIONAL)
Everything above is free and works entirely offline. FernRoute Pro adds encrypted cloud backup — your trips are sealed on your device before upload and synced across your iPhones, so the server never sees your routes. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) with a 7-day free trial; cancel anytime in the App Store.
