TempoUp is a 3-in-1 practice companion for guitar, bass, ukulele and other string players: a pro metronome, a chromatic tuner and a fretboard scale map that plays every note you tap. One app for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

■ Precise Metronome
• 1–500 BPM, set the tempo with the dial or tap it in, with Italian tempo markings
• Any time signature: 1–16 beats over 2, 4, 8 or 16
• Four accent levels per beat, so 7/8 = 2+2+3 and other compound grooves take seconds to set up
• Subdivisions: eighths, sixteenths, triplets, quintuplets, sextuplets, dotted and syncopated
• 20 percussion sounds: classic mechanical, woodblock, cowbell, snare, conga, cajón, shaker and more
• Multiple visual themes
• Keeps ticking in the background and on the lock screen; time and bar counters show how much you've practiced

• Reference pitch adjustable from 416 to 466 Hz, with playable reference tones to tune by ear
