## Description

New: the Complaint Line. File the coverage that misled you, back other readers' cases, and watch the outlets you care about.

Between the News is a media-criticism publication and a complaints desk for news coverage. We do not report the news and we do not carry anyone else's reporting — we review how a story was covered.

Every piece in the app is our own original criticism: which verb a headline chose, who was made the subject of the sentence, what led the article and what was buried in paragraph nine, and how several outlets framed the identical event differently. We quote a headline only so that we can criticise it.

THE COMPLAINT LINE
Seen coverage that misled you, buried the point, or quietly took a side? File it with us. Say what was wrong with it, read the queue of cases other readers have filed, and back the ones you agree with. The cases that reveal a pattern become a published critique.

WATCH THE OUTLETS YOU CARE ABOUT
Watch CNN, the BBC, Fox News, the Guardian or any of the twenty outlets we cover, and your feed is built from your own choices — kept on your device and waiting at the next launch.

ALSO IN THE APP
• Twice-daily critiques, with the outlets' actual words quoted, dated and attributed
• Side-by-side round-ups: how four or five outlets framed the identical event
• The Media Guide: who owns each outlet, how it leans, and why that matters
• Offline reading — recent critiques are saved on your device and open with no connection
• Notifications when a new critique is published, only if you tap the bell
• Reading controls: set the body text size once and it stays set
• Search the full archive by outlet, topic or phrase
• Comments, with reporting, blocking and a stated zero-tolerance policy

WHAT WE ARE NOT
Not a news app. Not an aggregator. No syndicated feed, no scraped articles, no link roll, no third-party stories.

Free. No advertising, nothing to buy, no account to create.

"We don't take ads from anyone — that's why we can critique everyone."

Independent. Dublin-based. Evidence-based.
