## Description

SNIB Scout is a professional field utility for authorized security technicians working with Hirsch SNIB2 and SNIB3 network interface boards.

Free tools let technicians discover supported boards on an accessible network and read their current identity and network settings. SNIB Scout Pro adds saved field records and templates, office-ready reports, exports and sharing, plus guarded configuration for individual boards or planned batches.

Key capabilities include:

- SNIB2 and SNIB3 discovery over IPv4 Wi-Fi and compatible USB Ethernet
- Current IP address, subnet, gateway, host name, MAC/ID, firmware, port, and address-mode inspection when reported by the board
- Fresh-read validation before configuration
- DHCP and static IPv4 planning with conflict checks
- Protected before-write backups and identity-matched readback verification
- Individual or batch commissioning workflows
- Text and CSV field reports for office records
- Connection diagnostics, common network presets, and built-in field guidance

Only service equipment and networks you are authorized to access. Network behavior depends on the connected interface, routing, local-network permission, VPN policy, and the attached equipment.
