## Description

Hatching eggs takes 21 days of getting the details right — or 28, or 35, depending on the bird. Batch Companion keeps every one of those days on track. Pick a species, set your eggs, and the app builds the whole schedule for you: when to turn, when to candle, when to stop turning and raise humidity, and exactly when to expect your hatch. Built for backyard poultry keepers and homesteaders.

INCUBATION, HANDLED
- 9 species presets plus Custom — Chicken, Coturnix Quail, Bobwhite Quail, Duck, Muscovy Duck, Goose, Turkey, Guinea Fowl, and Pheasant — each with its own incubation length, temperature and humidity targets, candling days, and lockdown day.
- Day countdown — a progress ring shows "Day X of N," days to hatch, and the expected hatch date. Backdate the start date if your eggs are already set.
- Milestones timeline — set day, candling days, lockdown, and hatch day, with real dates and done/today/upcoming states.
- Turning reminders — daily notifications at times you choose; they stop automatically at lockdown.
- Candling alerts and results — a reminder on each candling morning; record fertile and clear counts and your expected hatch numbers update.
- Lockdown warning — a clear alert when it is time to stop turning and raise humidity to the species' hatch target.

MEASURE AND REMEMBER
- Temperature and humidity log — quick-entry readings charted over time against the species' target range, switchable between °F and °C.
- Notes journal — timestamped notes for every batch.
- Live Activity — a countdown on your lock screen and in the Dynamic Island with the batch name, a self-updating day progress bar, and the expected hatch date.
- History and stats — completed batches with eggs set, fertile, and hatched, per-batch hatch rates, and lifetime totals.
- Species guide — a built-in reference with every parameter plus practical husbandry tips per species.
- Multi-batch tracking — run as many batches at once as you like, each with its own species, name, egg count, and start date.
