## Description

Berries turns any packaged food into a clear answer: how processed is this, and what is actually in it?

Point your camera at a barcode, or photograph the ingredients list when the barcode is not in the database. Either way you get an A-D processing grade in seconds, with the reasoning laid out - not a mystery number.

WHAT YOU GET

Scan a barcode or an ingredients list
Two ways to scan the same product. Barcode lookup is instant. Ingredient photo reading works on anything - imported products, local brands, own-label items, the packet in your hand right now.

An A-D processing score
Every product is graded A to D on how far it has been processed, based on the NOVA classification used in nutrition research. Grade D means ultra-processed. Grade A means whole or minimally processed food.

Negatives and positives, broken down
Each result shows what is working against the product and what is working for it: ultra-processed markers, seed oils, salt and sugar, alongside the good news such as a short ingredient list or no additives at all.

Every additive explained
Additive cards are graded on published evidence from EFSA and the FSA, so you can see why something is flagged instead of being handed a scare score.

The ingredients, as printed
The full ingredients list exactly as it appears on the packet, so you can check the app's reading against the pack itself.

Your pantry
Save the products you buy regularly and build a picture of what is in your kitchen.

HOW THE SCORE WORKS

Berries scores food processing, using NOVA groups and additive evidence ratings. Tap "Scoring method" on any result to see exactly how a grade was reached. The method is the same for every product, and it is visible to you.

Unlimited scanning is available as an auto-renewing subscription:
- Weekly, with a 3-day free trial
- Yearly

Prices are shown in the app and vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renew in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
